Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans bloggers! (From the looks of my stats, I don’t have a lot of American viewers. 🤔)
It’s a time full of food, appreciation and fulfillment (because of the food partly.)
I wanted to take this time to write about some things I am thankful for and truly appreciate, starting with…
#1: YOU!

When I started my blog at the end of 2019, I never imagined I would even be getting traffic to my blog. Deciding to start this blog and not give up in the first few months was hard because I had a lot of fears. But I decided to write about things I liked (at the time was BTS) and although in the beginning I didn’t get lots of attention, I enjoyed my writing and learned a lot about time management, what blogging is, how to structure posts, how to engage with your audience (I’m still learning about that), and writing on a schedule. This blog has opened so many opportunities for me like being able to write for an actual internship to beginning to write books. I am very thankful for you!
#2: my family
As I’ve written before, I didn’t grow up with a mother and father the way I should have. But thankfully I have a mother and father figure who are teaching me about the realities of life and how to be a good citizen of society. I am forever thankful for them because without them, I wouldn’t also be able to discipline myself to write this blog post! (My aunt was the one who suggested that I start my blog off with one post a month back in 2019.)
#3: truth

I am thankful for the word truth and what it means. There are a lot of times when I’m being told someone’s definition of “truth” and I get so confused. But thankfully I have people around me who tell me the truth ASAP. Whether is the truth about my writing or on someone else I know. Knowing the truth and being honest about my own shortcomings has saved me so much time and unnecessary pain. I’m not perfect at accepting criticism and truth, but I will get there!
#4: God

I am very thankful to God for giving me a new lease on life. He has changed me a lot these seven years I’ve been introduced to him and I’ve learned so much about life through him. Although he’s pushing me toward building relationships and to face my fears everyday, I can feel his gentleness through each adventure he brings me through.
#5: the littles!

Aa much as I talk about the kids at work on my podcast and also here, I am so thankful to have known them all, even the ones who work my nerves most of the time. I understand why people say they learn a lot through motherhood (not saying you have to have a child to learn things about children).
#6: food

I am thankful for food! I’m a natural foodie and I absolutely enjoy it. I can’t wait to eat some good food and then seconds and leftovers afterwards!
#7: the internet

I have always appreciated the fact that I could connect with people I’ve never met before. Through my blogging and also through social media, I have learned that relationships are important. I also enjoy learning about different subjects and different topics. I’m am info nerd so I enjoy having it right at my fingertips!
#8: books!

This year I got back into my habit of reading books. I am so thankful for libraries and my aunt who has encouraged me to start building a library and studying subjects I’ll need to know for school. I am growing so much and I know there’s more to go!
#9: being alive and well

There was a time when I didn’t want to live. But as I grow older, I am glad I didn’t make a drastic choice but I decided to keep living. My life is not easy, but I feel slightly more better about myself than I did a year ago. I am so thankful for life and being able to make a difference in people’s lives.
*just letting you know, this post was pre-written before Thanksgiving. Girl, ain’t no body at my house sitting in front of their computer typing during Thanksgiving. Ok? This was planned out early. (Yay me for growing time management skills!)
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you enjoy this time with whomever you’re with, whether it’s friends, family, or if you’re alone. Please go out and have some fun! Or stay in and read, binge-watch Naruto, etc. Just enjoy yourself.
