Nice to meet you!

Shanedra has always dreamed of being a writer; writing her first books at a young age and dreaming of having her novels on shelves and libraries across the world. And the first step occured when she began her writing journey in 2018, launching this website, which was then just called That Research Life.
From then on, she has specialized in sharpening her skills in storytelling, writing, reading and editing novels through reading books, editing other’s manuscripts, and writing any and everything she could get her hands on.
She began with writing for her school’s online newspaper, then leading to her writing and interviewing entrepreneurs and writing lengthy articles about them. Her latest position was an internship to explore the wonders of the book publishign world, where she learned the ins and outs of what it takes to get a book from the computer screen to your hands. In 2025, she completed her Bachelors in Communication with a concentration in Media and Public from University of Houston – Downtown. Her drive for always improving her skills and understanding of novel writing and makes her a wonderful asset to any team. For hobbies, she spends her time organizing her digital music collection, writing all of her thoughts in either digital or shorthand, and working on her next novel, set to be released at the end of July 2026.
Here on her website, you will find posts related to writing, books, storytelling and some pop culture talk. If you ever need help proofreading or editing your manuscript, contact Shanedra in the “Contact” tab or send her an email at the email linked below!
Hoope to hear from you soon!
